Inner whisper

She walked in that fine day,

Hair dancing in the breeze,

And I felt my heart freeze.

Her eyes found mine,

And all my problems forgotten,

I suddenly felt fine.

That feeling remained,

Until I saw her lie there,

Her face pale and drained.

All the spats that we had,

When she insisted we go out,

I’m glad now that we had.

I’ll always remember her,

As my guiding north star,

As my constant inner whisper.

Insist
